Grazie al precedente proprietario, e vecchi documenti, il venditore è stato in grado di conoscere la storia di questa Porsche:

- Marzo 1982: Ray Murphy compra l'auto a Kansas City - l'auto ha 45 miglia sull'orologio.
- Marzo 1984: Ray finisce di pagare il credito e riceve il suo nuovo titolo.
- Ottobre 1987: Dopo 5 anni, l'auto ha accumulato 13.934 miglia e Ray si è trasferito a Tulsa Oklahoma. L'auto rimane in suo possesso fino al 1999.
- Nel 1999: l'auto viene acquistata da Rich Johnson Il motore 3.0 originale ha un problema, e il piano emerge per convertire l'auto in una Turbo con wideners. Rich ha finito il tempo e l'auto ha passato tutto il periodo in una scatola di stoccaggio.
- Nel 2007 Rich decise di vendere la Porsche e tutte le parti accumulate per raccogliere fondi.

L'interno è in ottime condizioni. I sedili anteriori sono stati completamente restaurati nel 2019, così come il cruscotto e il rivestimento del tetto. Il volante è in ottime condizioni. Questa 911 ha il seguente equipaggiamento:

Quando ha lasciato la fabbrica, l'auto era equipaggiata con un 3.0 Flat 6. Questo motore è stato sostituito nel 2008 da un 3.2 tipo 930/21 da una 911 Targa. Questo motore sviluppa 207 CV (standard USA) ma è dotato di un catalizzatore FABSPEED. Il venditore ha numerose fatture visibili nella galleria. Ha beneficiato tra l'altro dei seguenti oneri:
