Presentation
Garrett is a 3kg Turbot caught in the English Channel in March 2024. The seller states that the Turbot is in good condition and has benefited from cool storage.
Turbot facts: Turbot is not to be confused with halibut. In Quebec, in 2012, the Office québécois de la langue française standardized the name Greenland halibut and did not retain the name Greenland turbot for the species Reinhardtius hippoglossoides. Very similar in appearance, brill (Scophthalmus rhombus) is also confused with common turbot, but its flesh is different.
Externally, Garrett presents well, having been fished according to a sustainable fishing charter in the English Channel. His gray bone tubercles are in good condition, as are his dorsal and ventral fins. The seller indicates that Garrett was in good health at the time of capture.
The 60cm-diameter turbot developed around 1.3 bar common when it left the farm. The seller states that its propulsion system is working normally, but needs to be restarted. The seller has a photo of the fish when it was caught, attesting to its size, weight and freshness. He points out that its 5 fins have been replaced by variable geometry models.

The vendor is a little unusual, located in Vaujours (93), France, and accepts tastings during the sale. Garrett le turbot can be baked in the Normandy style or pan-fried in the meunière style. It will be sold without grey carp and with a favorable hygiene control of at least 6 months.
