Available for all budgets, it's an original way to stand out from the crowd at gatherings or simply to arouse the curiosity of enthusiasts.
Peugeot 205 Lacoste
The crocodile from Sochaux. From 1984 to 1986, Peugeot produces this special series in collaboration with Lacoste in 3 and 5 doors. This 205 is the ideal ally to accompany you on the most beautiful tennis courts.
Autobianchi Y10 Row
Another special series related to Tennis. The Y10 Fila series, produced from 1987 to 1989, proudly displays its red Fila logo upholstery. Equipped with the little "Fire" engine, it was a city car with a very nice look available in black or white at the time of its release. Today, it is a special series that is difficult to find in good condition.
Abarth 500 Ferrari Dealers Edition n°/200
Limited to only 200 examples, this Abarth 500 is a numbered series that was intended for Ferrari dealerships to be used as a loaner. Some examples could have been purchased new and therefore never used as loaner vehicles.
Peugeot 205 GTI Le Mans
The Grail. Sold only for the Swedish market, some collectors and amateurs have managed to import it in France. Benzin has already offered you some examples. This limited series of the 205 GTI is distinguished by its Miami blue color, its steering wheel and its Luisi knob in wood, its "Hella" rear inter-light, the mud flaps on the front wheels, as well as its Le Mans logos.
Renault Clio Apple
If not sporty, this special series is not technological either. And yet, we are talking about an "Apple" series, yes yes, like the brand of smartphones... Reserved for the Spanish market, this series only affected the S and RSi versions of the first clio. Available in 7 colors including two shades of red, it was equipped with alloy wheels, mirror shells and body-colored spoiler, fog lights (only on the RSi), and of course, Apple badges. Inside, we find leather and fabric sport seats, leather door medallions, a Philips cassette radio on the S, a CD radio on the RSi, and a driver's airbag, only on the RSi. Under the hood, we've already warned you, don't expect performance: the S boasts a 1.4L 75hp, while the RSi offers 1.8L of 110hp.
Fiat Seicento “Michael Schumacher”
Audacity nf : action, process which defies the habits, the dominant tastes. Example : using the name of the greatest F1 champion (of all time?) for a "sporty" city car.
This Fiat Seicento Sporting, in its "Michael Schumacher" edition, features a 55hp engine (the ultimate in sport, we grant you). Features like a leather steering wheel, a pedal, a gear knob and a hand brake handle in aluminum, as well as a numbered plate. On the exterior, a sticker with Schumi's signature is stuck on to differentiate it from other Seicento sporting. Widely distributed and affordable, it is the ideal ally for anyone who wants a fun and economical little car.
Porsche Boxster "50 years spyder 550"
This anniversary series, introduced in 2004, pays tribute to the Spyder 550 model of the 1950s. This Boxster offers a series of specific options such as the sporty chassis, the 18 inch light alloy wheels, the Cocoa colored leather interior or the numbered plate "50 Jahre Spyder 550". The series is limited to 1953 copies, referring to the release date of the Spyder, smart isn't it?
Volkswagen Golf GTI 16s Match
The GTI for young dynamic executives. Released in 1988, the GTI 16s Match version developed 139hp and was one of the best optioned golf cars. It featured the famous "Digifiz" digital speedometer and dashboard, BBS rims, Match logo reminders on the bodywork and sunroof. This version was produced in only 1200 units, so they are rare on the market!
Curious mix between a name evoking elegance and a rather flashy decoration, this version reserved for Germany has for main interest to be equipped with ABS. A rare and expensive option at the time, but essential to avoid hitting your boss's Porsche on the Place Morny. Only available with an intermediate engine, it stands out by its look and its equipment. It was offered in Triton Green, Memphis Blue Metallic, and Crystal Grey Metallic with black trim and decorative stripes on the body, tailgate and hood as well as a Deauville logo on the tailgate and quarter windows. Equipped with the rear windshield wiper, electric windows, ABS, central locking and power steering, this BX will make you forget the modesty of its 1.6L of 90hp for the benefit of its tweed interior to leave serenely and comfortably on vacation at the sea.
(NB: If you prefer surfing or jet set to American movies, the BX has been declined in Biarritz and Saint-Tropez versions, make your choice! )
BMW 750 Karl Lagerfeld
At the request of a Berlin palace for which he had done the interior design, Karl Lagerfeld also personalized the two courtesy limousines of this same establishment. Two 750iLs were given special fittings and an original body color. On the menu: no engine modifications but a unique paint job and a 5-star interior. This living room, or rather this suite on wheels, was dressed in a purple color with changing effects, a mix of Canyon Red and Nepalese Metallic Silver. When the doorman opens the door, we are welcomed with open arms by fresh butter Nappa leather "Chesterfield" armchairs separated by a mini bar with its walnut swivel shelves integrated into the central armrest. With retractable shelves and vanity mirrors in the back of the front seats, Madam can perfect her make-up for the gala while Mister signs a last contract at several 0's thanks to the integrated fax, telephone and television. Powered by a 326hp 5.4L V12 engine at speeds of over 250km/h on the Autobahn, be sure to be on time for a triumphant entrance into the city's finest venues.
C15 Dangel this "Pisteur"
Henri Dangel, the specialist in four-wheel drive conversions, offers the C15 4x4 from 1991. This limited series with the sweet name of Pisteur goes even further in the specialization by proposing a version "hunter". Based on a C15 D600 2-seater with a double rear door, it proudly displays the unique "Bussing" green color and specific logos on the hood, the front fenders and the left rear door. Mounted on off-road tires, equipped with bull bars, side protection strips, a tow hook, full engine/transmission shielding, and a transaxle set with short 1st and 2nd gears, this C15 is the perfect tool to reach your hunting cabin on Saturday morning and bring home the freshly picked wild boar to enjoy at the family dinner on Sunday.
A Mazda MX - 5 regular
With more than 90 special series since its launch in 1989, the best-selling roadster in automotive history (1 million units in circulation) has been marketed more as a special series than as a classic series. Today, a normal MX-5 is more limited and more desirable than a special MX-5, hence its place in our selection. As a reminder, even if it is no longer presented, an MX-5 is: a small punchy engine, rear-wheel drive, contained weight, all of which can be appreciated without the roof, with the manual transmission.
Special editions of our favorite vintage or youngtimers will always have a story to tell and are a great way to stand out at rallies, shows or even at the time of sale.
