This 1953 Bentley Type R 4.6 has known two owners: the first one was the founder of the Ferrero brand, then the current owner. It is of Belgian origin and it is one of the 166 produced in left hand drive out of 2320.
On the outside, this Bentley is in good condition. The car was repainted less than a decade ago, but the paint is cracking in some places (visible in the gallery). The chrome and the headlights are in excellent condition. This Type R is equipped with a sunroof.
The interior is in very good condition. The original upholstery is patinated but without tears or holes. The headliner is in good condition. The dashboard trim is in very good condition, showing no cracks or discoloration. The on-board instrumentation and equipment are said to work perfectly. This Bentley is sold with its original luggage, and its vintage tool kit.
The mechanics of this Bentley are said to work normally. The original Rolls Royce 4.6 inline 6-cylinder engine developed 140 hp when it left the factory. The seller indicates that the exhaust manifold is cracked. The 4-speed automatic transmission is described as working normally.
The car has its original rims in excellent condition.
The seller is a private individual located in Belgium in Bierghes (1430), and also provides some spare parts.

How the auctions work
A credit card is required to bid, although nothing is charged at the time. Bids are immediately raised to the amount entered.
Bidding is binding. We do not accept any withdrawal of bidding. Any withdrawal is sanctioned by a fee of 6% of the amount bid with a minimum of 300€ TTC.
Visits of the vehicle

Payment
At the end of the auction: The winner is automatically charged a service fee of 3% of the final price (minimum 150€ VAT included).
Within 15 days: The winner must pay the sales price to the seller. The secure payment by Paycar is free for Benzin buyers. Seller and buyer may agree to use another payment method.
Delivery
Unless otherwise specified, the buyer is responsible for picking up the vehicle from the seller. Benzin is able to offer an optional delivery service, nous contacter.
