This 1968 Mercedes-Benz 280 SL Pagode "California" of French origin is a certified 3rd hand car with 24.900 km, although the real mileage is 124.900km (5 digits counter). The seller indicates that the car is in very good general condition, that it has a valid Technical Inspection and that it has benefited from a major renovation (engine, bodywork and running gear) in 2020.
The "California" version features two real extra seats in the back and therefore no soft top, although a Hard-Top is available. This Pagoda was delivered new to Versaille, the order form is visible in the gallery.

On the outside, the car is in very good condition. The bodywork in its special Havana Brown color (423) has been renovated, it does not show any notable defects (see gallery and expertise). Plastics, rubber and exterior seals are mostly new. A body colored hardtop accompanies the vehicle. Pictures of the undercarriage are available in the gallery, they do not show any apparent deformation, corrosion or perforation according to the expertise report. The floors are covered with a protective layer.

The interior is in good condition. The black leather upholstery (black Tex, 131) has no tears or holes but shows slight traces of use. The steering wheel and the dashboard are in good condition. The on-board instrumentation and the electrical equipment are working normally. This car has power steering and a car radio.

The 2.8-liter 6-cylinder developed 170 hp when it left the factory. The seller indicates that the mechanics work normally as well as the automatic transmission. The seller has numerous invoices visible in the gallery. According to the purchase invoice presented, it is the original engine. In 2016, the mechanics received a restoration that included the following costs.

The car has its 4 original rims in good condition, with tires in good condition. The car brakes normally. Calipers and pipes are recent. Neither excessive play nor traces of shock are noted on the ground connection elements which were also renovated during the restoration (see expertise report). It also benefited from a geometry.

The seller is a professional located in France in Paris (75) and accepts visits during the sale. The car will be sold with its French registration (collection), invoices, an expertise report, the purchase order and purchase invoice of the period. The seller commits himself to provide a favorable CT of less than 6 months for the sale.
