This 1976 MG B GT V8 is of English origin and was imported by the current owner in 2015. Numerous documents suggest that the posted mileage of 167,600 miles (approx. 268,000km) is accurate. The seller states that the car has had 11 previous English owners and has all the paperwork tracing these changes of ownership. No accidents have been reported.

Aesthetically, the car is in a very nice condition, thanks to a complete restoration done in 1996. In 2008, this MG has received a complete refection of the fenders, side rails, door bottoms, floorboards and window treatments. A photo file is available to attest these last works. It is equipped with Sebring skirts at the front and rear, although the original plastic bumpers are included with the sale. A slight difference in color between these and the bodywork can be noted. A Moss-Europe honeycomb grille has been installed, identical to the grilles that equipped MG Bs between 1972 and 1974. Headlight grilles, white turn signals and reverse lights complete the list of aesthetic accessories. There are some rust spots on the bottom of the windshield, the bottom of the rear window and the door hinges.

The beige leather and vinyl interior presents beautifully. The seats, carpets, plastics and woodwork show no pronounced wear. All the electrical equipment works normally, as does the on-board instrumentation. The car is equipped with a 14-inch Moto-lita wood steering wheel, with the original steering wheel also included. The seller indicates that he has installed new seatbelts and a static three-point belt in the rear.

The 3.5 liter V8 originally developed 137hp and its aluminum construction allowed it to be lighter than the previous engines that powered the MG B. The car has just been serviced by Frontline Development, an MG specialist based in England. The oil change was performed as well as a check of the other fluids. Earlier in 2016, it received an electronic fuel pump and a new battery. Upon purchase in 2015, the seller performed a major overhaul including: a new oil change, electronic ignition, a complete overhaul of the carburetors, spark plugs and cables, "high torque" starter, coil, water pump, accessory belt, fuel filter and various hoses. Finally, the upper engine received a rebuild in 2013 as did the gearbox. The clutch was replaced on this occasion. The radiator and the alternator are recent. According to the seller, the engine runs well and strong. A video of the car running is available.

The running gear has been well maintained as well, with successive greases in 2017 and 2015. The front shocks are new. The seller indicates that there is rust on the running gear components as well as the rear portion of the chassis, although it is not perforating and does not affect the handling of the car. The tires are in average condition. The rims were repainted in 2015 and the wheel centers were replaced.
