This 1982 Renault 5 Alpine Turbo of French origin is a 3rd hand car with 199.900 km, mileage partially certified by some invoices and maintenance stickers. The seller indicates that the car is to be restored. The engine starts and a recent CT is visible in the gallery.
On the outside, the bodywork in its blue color has visible flaws in the gallery. The seller notes surface and perforating corrosion on the rocker panels, wheel arches, trunk, passenger floor and engine hood. Pictures of the underbody are available in the gallery.
The interior is in good general condition. The upholstery is in good condition and complete. The headliner, steering wheel and dashboard are worn. Some electrical equipment is said to work normally but others are broken. The manual window regulators need to be repaired. Some fuses and bulbs need to be changed.
The 1.4 liter Turbo 4 cylinder developed 110 hp when it left the factory. The salesman indicates that the engine starts. He states that the manual transmission works. The seller tested it in 3rd gear and reverse. A restart charge was made:
- Removal, cleaning, de-sealing and re-installation of starter
- Fluid draining
- Oil and air filter change
- Carburetor and base gasket cleaning
- Silencer replacement
- Fuel tank and filter replacement
- Plugging water pump leak (New water pump provided)
The car has its 4 original rims with new tires. Recently, the running gear has benefited from the following expenses:
- Equilibrage
- Brake master cylinder replacement (new) and bleeding
- Replacement of brake hoses and manufacturing of brake pipes
However, the braking system needs to be reviewed.
The seller is a private individual located in France in Divonne les Bains (01220) and accepts visits during the sale. The car will be sold with its French registration (normal), invoices, documentation and an unfavourable CT of September 2022. The license plates will be changed.
