This 1982 BMW 323i e21 is a French second hand car, having belonged to the same owner since 1985. It is a limited edition named Edition S (also called Run Out) created for the end of the production of the e21 model. This BMW has 496.130km, a mileage justified by a full follow-up of 110 invoices including the purchase invoice.

On the outside, this e21 has the distinctive features of this S edition: the BBS front and rear spoilers, the Foha spoiler and the two-tone paint. The latter is in very good condition, showing only a few rare defects from time. The windshield and bezel seals are in average condition. The rubber spoiler has some micro cracks. The two chrome exhaust pipes are new. The headlights are in good condition except for the right turn signal which is slightly cracked. The seller indicates that this car is equipped with two extra antennas in addition to the original one, a sign that it was probably equipped with a Cibie. The seller states that the car has received body repairs in the past and is free of pitting corrosion except for a hole in the rear floor (see photo) and that the side rails, anchors, lifting points and axle attachments are sound.

Inside, this BMW is in good condition. The specific 3-spoke steering wheel of this "S" finish has been redone by a saddler while the knob is new. The seller indicates that the original Recaro seats have been replaced by vintage "Modplastia" seats after many miles. The latter are mounted on the original slides and are tilting. These seats are in good condition, although the driver's seat has a tear and a repair. The rear seat is original and in good condition, as is the headliner although the latter is yellowed. The dashboard is in average condition, the latter showing cracks having been repaired with black putty by the previous owner. The instruments are in good working order except for the warning button and the tachometer. The car radio is a Sony set from the 90's with a vintage steering wheel control. The seller indicates that this installation is functional. Additional Jaeger gauges have been added to the dash including a working ammeter and oil pressure sensor. This car is also equipped with an untested vintage Bosch alarm.

On the mechanical side, this e21 is equipped with its original 2316cm3 6-cylinder engine which developed 143hp when it left the factory. The seller indicates that the engine runs perfectly and seems to have all its power although the idle is very slightly high due to a small leak on the intake manifold. He also says that the compressions are good. On the recent side, the timing, oil change, replacement of all filters and spark plugs have just been done. The manual transmission locks and shifts properly. This S Edition is equipped with the 25% self-locking axle, which is fully functional. The engine and gearbox have been rebuilt and serviced several times in the past as the invoice file justifies.
The car is equipped with its 4 original BBS rims and its spare wheel. The seller indicates that the car brakes correctly although a slight vibration in the steering wheel is felt, and that the 4 shock absorbers are recent.

The seller is a professional located in France in Charenton Le Pont (94). The car is sold with a favorable technical control and a commercial warranty engine, gearbox and axle of 3 months, extendable to 6 or 12 months in addition.
The seller wished to define a reserve price.
