This 1992 Mazda MX-5 NA of French origin was acquired in 2016 by the current owner. The current owner has driven it for about 3,000 km. The car has 201,720 km on the odometer, which is a fair estimate given the condition and the documentation provided.
On the outside, this MX-5 is in average condition. Although it looks good from a few steps away, the paintwork shows several defects, especially on the driver's door sill, the front right fender and the rear right and left fender. Other scratches, defects and impacts are present on the bodywork. The rear bumper is dull and cracked due to a poor quality paint job done in the past. The car shows perforating corrosion on the passenger side at the level of the fenders and rocker panels. Some perforating corrosion is also visible on the rear fender and the left side sill, but to a lesser extent. Some pictures of the underbody are visible in the gallery. The wiper arms are in bad condition. The seals and the exterior plastics are in good condition. A yellow film has been applied to the original headlights.
The interior is in good condition. The fabric seats show no tears or snags. The plastics and dashboard trim are in good condition with no discoloration. The car is equipped with power steering. The steering wheel is original although the original cover is missing. The car is equipped with a non-original audio system. The soft top is functional although in poor condition, the previous owner having replaced the rear plexiglass with a transparent plastic bolted to the fabric.
The 1.6l 4-cylinder developed 115hp when it left the factory. It is equipped with a sport exhaust manifold and a conical air filter, the only elements different from the original. The original parts are however provided. The mechanics are said to be in excellent condition. The seller has recently changed all the fluids (engine, gearbox, axle, coolant, brake and clutch fluid). The gearbox works well, the gears all shift smoothly and lock up well.
The 4 rims are in average condition, the center caps are missing and the paint shows some defects. The tires are from 2005. The car is equipped with MX-5 NB shocks, which are said to provide a better comfort. The steering rods have been replaced. The seller notes a parallelism adjustment defect, reported on the technical control and sensitive to the steering wheel.
The seller is a private individual located in Paris 16ème (75016) and accepts visits.
The car is sold without reserve price.
