This 1954 Cadillac Fleetwood Sixty Special is a vintage 55 that left the USA in the 60's to go to the UK and then went back to Germany in the 90's. It was acquired in the late 2000's by the current owner, a professional car restorer who undertook a complete restoration for his personal use. The car is now registered as a French collector car.
On the outside, this Cadillac Fleetwood is in excellent condition. The car has been repainted in the exact original color. The paint presents superbly, showing only slight signs of use. The bodywork is free of dents or rust. The chromes show no flaws and the headlights are in excellent condition, as are the body seals.
The interior has never been restored but has been beautifully preserved. The original upholstery shows no snags, tears or sagging. The headliner is in excellent condition. The plastics and dashboard trim are in very good condition, showing no cracks or discoloration. The on-board instrumentation and equipment, including the power windows and power seats, are said to work perfectly. The car is equipped with power steering.
The mechanics of this Fleetwood benefited from a complete overhaul during its restoration. The car is equipped with the 365ci V8 (5.98l) which developed about 300hp when it left the factory. The seller specifies that the engine has been completely disassembled and everything that had to be changed has been changed while trying to keep a maximum of original parts. All consumables (belts, filters) have been changed. The carburetor has been rebuilt and adjusted. The automatic choke works very well. The hydramatic 3 speed automatic gearbox (plus a reverse gear) is said to work perfectly, very smooth and shifting without clutch. The original exhaust has been restored.
The car has its 5 original rims all equipped with reissued classic tires. The brake linings have been relined. The car is described as running and braking perfectly.
The seller is a private individual located in France at Saint Léger sous Beuvrey (71990) and accepts visits during the sale. The seller indicates that he has 2 expert reports evaluating the car at 45.000 € and will be provided with the sale.

How the auctions work
A credit card is required to bid, although nothing is charged at the time. Bids are immediately raised to the amount entered.
Bidding is binding. We do not accept any withdrawal of bidding. Any withdrawal is sanctioned by a fee of 6% of the amount bid with a minimum of 300€ TTC.
Visits of the vehicle

Payment
At the end of the auction: The winner is automatically charged a service fee of 3% of the final price (minimum 150€ VAT included).
Within 15 days: The winner must pay the sales price to the seller. The secure payment by Paycar is free for Benzin buyers. Seller and buyer may agree to use another payment method.
Delivery
