Since 1 year in the hands of its current owner, this R5 Alpine Copa has been fully restored 2 years ago in Spain. The speedometer was changed during the restoration and it now shows 4.350 km, of which 1.000 km were done by the seller. It has a French registration, the original Spanish registration and an expertise report dated February 2017 visible in the gallery.

The Copa is the Spanish counterpart of the French "Coupe", models manufactured to allow the homologation of the R5 in competition. In all, 656 examples were produced in the atmospheric version, against 606 for the turbos.

On the outside, this Alpine was originally repainted in its white color along with the matte black hood characteristic of the Copa versions. The seller reports no particular paint defects. The car is equipped with a non-original sunroof. The seals are new and the chromes are in excellent condition. The alignments are very satisfactory. Inside, the upholstery and carpets have been completely refurbished to original condition. The original large diameter steering wheel is present and in excellent condition. The door panels and plastics have also been refurbished. The on-board instrumentation is working properly, and a modern car radio is currently installed.

On the mechanical part, this R5 Alpine is described as working perfectly. This 1397cc 4 cylinder engine developed 93hp when it left the factory. It has been reconditioned during the restoration in Spain (all peripherals changed or refurbished) and has benefited from a very recent overhaul less than 200 km ago including oil changes. The idle is stable and the revs are frank. The seller reports no abnormal noise or transmission malfunction. A video of the car running is available at the end of the ad. The exhaust is new.

The 5 rims have been repainted in the original color during the restoration. All the running gear has been renovated during the restoration. The owner indicates that the car drives and brakes perfectly. No abnormal noise is reported. However, the rack bellows needs to be changed and will be provided with the sale.

The seller is a professional located in Burdignes (42220) and accepts visits. This last wished to define a reserve price.
