This 1979 Peugeot 104 ZS 2 is one of the 1,000 produced by Peugeot in 1979 in order to homologate the 104 in Group 2. The current owner acquired it 3 years ago in order to restore it for his personal use. The car was completed last year after more than 25.000€ of work, justified on invoices, the main ones of which are visible in the gallery. The car shows 26.050km although this mileage cannot be verified.

Outside, this 104 ZS 2 is in excellent condition. The body has been completely stripped, sandblasted, repaired and painted in the original "Vulcan grey" color with its red stripe. The bodywork shows no dents or corrosion. The details of the body work can be seen on the invoices in the gallery.

The interior is in excellent condition. The seat foams have been replaced, while the original upholstery fabric has been kept. The car is equipped with the optional Jaeger instrument cluster, invoiced at 3500 Francs at the time. The carpets and upholstery are in excellent condition. All the on-board equipment is said to function normally.

The mechanics are in excellent condition. The 1360cc 4 cylinder engine developed 93hp when it left the factory. The original engine has been completely disassembled to receive a new segmentation, new connecting rod bearings and crankshaft bearings. It is currently equipped with 2 Weber 40 DCOE carburetors, the original SOLEX carburetors with air box and intake manifold being supplied. An Oreca exhaust silencer has been installed. The engine starts well both hot and cold, has a stable idle and revs up nicely. A driving video is visible at the top of the ad. The 4 speed manual transmission works perfectly and the clutch is new.

The car has its 4 original aluminum rims with spare wheel in very good condition, with recent tires. The brakes have been entirely revised during the restoration and work perfectly. The car runs and brakes perfectly without any abnormal noise.

How the auctions work

A credit card is required to bid, although nothing is charged at the time. Bids are immediately raised to the amount entered.

Bidding is binding. We do not accept any withdrawal of bidding. Any withdrawal is sanctioned by a fee of 6% of the amount bid with a minimum of 300€ TTC.

Payment

At the end of the auction: The winner is automatically charged a service fee of 3% of the final price (minimum 150€ VAT included).

Within 15 days: The winner must pay the sales price to the seller. The secure payment by Paycar is free for Benzin buyers. Seller and buyer may agree to use another payment method.

Delivery
