This Ford XR2 e12 was acquired by the seller in 2015. The seller has done an engine and chassis preparation. The car is equipped with a RS1600i engine with carburetors (The seller provides the original engine although it needs a complete revision).
On the outside, this XR2i looks good thanks to a recently repainted body except for the hood, which is deliberately twisted to let more air through to the engine. This hood has a few stone chips and no longer has its original Ford badge. The underbody of the XR2i kit is in good condition but needs to be re-stamped. The front bumper is slightly cracked.
The interior is in average condition. The cloth upholstery is stained and shows sagging and some tears, however the seller is providing a complete black cloth interior (including door panels) in excellent condition. The car is equipped with a working manual sunroof. All instruments are said to work normally.
The car is equipped with a RS1600i engine with 2 Dell'Orto 40 carburetors. The seller indicates that the mechanics work perfectly. The original 5 speed manual transmission works very well and the clutch is new. The exhaust system is a sport system type group N.
The 4 original rims are in excellent condition. The Falken tires are recent and in very good condition. The car is equipped with GAZ Shocks threaded combination and urethane silentblocks. The brakes work perfectly.
The seller is a professional located in La Chapelle-en-Serval (60) and accepts visits during the sale.
The latter specifies that although the car is on the road and registered in France, it is not authorized to circulate as it is because of the engine change.
