Before becoming a rally icon, the Lancer was... a rally icon. Mitsubishi's success dates back to the 1970s with the Lancer 1600 GSR, winner of the 1974 Safari Rally. At the time, the production saloon had a friendly look and performance to match. This rare European model, preserved in a dealership display window for many years, is looking for a new owner to take it out on the roads and bear witness to a bygone era.
This 1974 Mitsubishi Lancer A72, originally from Belgium, has 45,000 km on the clock. The seller states that the vehicle is in very good overall condition. This car is part of the first batch of nine Mitsubishis imported into Europe in September 1974, with a certificate signed by the importer Mitsubishi Europe. The seller notes that it spent many years in a Mitsubishi showroom in Brussels and has had only one private owner since 1980.

Externally, the seller states that the vehicle is in very good condition. The seller notes that the chrome and plastic parts are well preserved.
