This Golf 2 GTI 8S was purchased in 2014 by the current seller and is a 4 th hand. The car has 390,000km but has had numerous refurbishments and runs perfectly. The seller states that he has numerous invoices and proof of maintenance since the 170,000km.
On the outside, this GTI 8S presents very well thanks to a paint job redone in 2014 by the previous owner in the original shade. The body shows no corrosion other than a few bubbles on the rear skirt corner. The exterior seals and plastics, including the bumpers, fender extensions and door trim are in excellent condition.
The interior is in excellent condition and remains in its original configuration with the sole exception of a modern car radio. The fabric and imitation upholstery shows no tears or discoloration. The door panels are also in very good condition. However, the seller indicates that the passenger seat recline adjustment does not work. The on-board equipment and instrumentation are said to function normally except for the water and fuel temperature gauges as well as the on-board computer which is only partially functional. The car is equipped with central locking and electric windows.
The mechanics of this Golf GTI are said to work perfectly. The top engine was rebuilt in 2014 by the previous owner. The 4 cylinder 1.8 developed 112 hp when it left the factory. The seller states that the engine has no excess fuel consumption and emits no smoke. It starts well, has a steady idle and seems to have full power. The 5-speed manual transmission works perfectly, shifts and locks up well in all gears. The clutch shows no signs of fatigue. The exhaust system (muffler and intermediate), battery and filters were replaced last February, along with the oil change.
The car has been recently fitted with new shocks and the rear brakes have been rebuilt. The tires are also recent and in good condition. The seller indicates that the car runs, brakes and turns normally without making any abnormal noise.
The seller is a private individual located in France in Rueil-Malmaison (92500) and accepts visits during the sale.
