This 1970 Jaguar Type-E 4.2 FHC Series 2 of American origin was imported to Italy in 2019 and shows 43,969 miles (70,762 km), although this mileage cannot be verified (5 digit odometer). The seller states that the car is in very good overall condition, has had recent expenses and has a valid Italian Technical Inspection less than 6 months old.
On the outside, this E-type is in very good condition. The paint in its "Signal red" color is very good and shows no noticeable defects. The exterior plastics and gaskets are in very good condition, as well as the windows and headlights. The seller indicates that the body and the chassis are sound. Corrosion is present near the battery and on the driver's side floors (see gallery). The car is fully original on the outside.
The interior is in very good condition. The original Connolly leather upholstery has no tears or holes but shows slight signs of wear. Plastics and trim are in good condition, a crack is present on the top of the dashboard (visible in the gallery). The on-board instrumentation and electrical equipment are working normally. This Jaguar is equipped with air conditioning (compressor not present) and power steering.
The 4,235cc 6-cylinder engine fed by two Strombergs carburetors developed 246hp when it left the factory. The engine has recently been overhauled, including an engine oil change, filter replacement and carburetor adjustment. The engine is said to work perfectly, as well as the 4 speed manual transmission.
The car has its 4 original spoked rims in good condition with new tires. The brakes have been bled and are said to work normally. The car is said to run perfectly without any abnormal noise.
The seller is a professional located in Italy in Ceglie (72013) and accepts visits during the sale. The car is sold with its original set of keys, its Italian registration and an Italian technical control that has been passed for the sale.
The seller wished to define a reserve price.

Payment
At the end of the auction: The winner is automatically charged a service fee of 3% (3.6% VAT excluded) of the final price by credit card (minimum 180€ VAT included).
Within the following 7 days: The winner must pay the sale price by bank transfer to an escrow account hosted by Paycar.fr.
Delivery
Unless otherwise specified, the buyer is responsible for picking up the vehicle from the seller. Benzin is able to offer you an optional delivery service. You can easily estimate the delivery cost by using the "Delivery" function available on the ad.
