This 1988 Volkswagen T3 converted by Westfalia was acquired in 2017 by the current owner, it is a second hand. This Combi has been approved as a 5-seater VASP. It has 595,500 km on the odometer while the engine has about 250,000km on it. The owner is parting with it after a trip: Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, Germany, Spain, France. He says that the vehicle is very comfortable for this type of long trips.
Externally, this T3 is in good condition. The paint shows some minor flaws visible in the gallery. The seller indicates that this Combi does not show any corrosion. The same goes for the chassis, which is cleaned and treated every year against rust (last treatment in March 2019). Pictures of the undercarriage are available in the gallery. This model is equipped with its Westfalia canvas roof replaced in 2017, and in very good condition except for a broken screen zipper.
Inside, the car is in good condition. The furniture shows some traces of rubbing. The vehicle has a 12V installation with an auxiliary battery with slow discharge including a separator coupler as well as a 220V installation with a 25m extension cord (camping and domestic network). On the household equipment side we find:
- A fridge working in 12V and 220V
- Gas 2 fires with small bottle (supplied)
- 10L clean water and 10L dirty water reserve
- Pump faucet and stainless steel sink
- Engraved swivel table on stand
- Led lighting inside
- 12V and 220V outlet at the back and 12V outlet at the front
- Sleeps 2 adults downstairs and 2 adults or 3 children upstairs
The seller indicates that all the equipment and the on-board instrumentation are working properly.
The mechanics are in excellent condition. The 4 cylinder 1.6 turbo diesel developed 70hp when it left the factory. This last one has been replaced and has been driven about 250.000km. The seller indicates that there are no leaks and that the oil has been changed every 7.500km, the last one having been done for the sale.
On the expense side the seller has made the following replacements:
Cylinder head and head gasket less than 6000km ago
Both gimbals less than 1000km ago
The clutch less than 1000km ago
Distribution and water pump at 537,500km in September 2017
The 5-speed manual transmission is said to work perfectly.
As far as the running gear is concerned, all four tires are half worn. The brakes are said to work properly, the front brake pads have been replaced and the car does not emit any abnormal suspension noise.
The car is sold with its two keys and its documentation. The seller is a private individual located in France in Auge (08) and accepts visits during the sale.
The seller wished to define a reserve price.

How the auctions work
A credit card is required to bid, although nothing is charged at the time. Bids are immediately raised to the amount entered.
The highest bid is automatically selected. However, all offers made remain valid for 10 days and can be accepted at any time during this period.
Bidding is binding. We do not accept any withdrawal of bidding. Any withdrawal is sanctioned by a fee of 6% of the amount bid with a minimum of 300€ TTC.
Visits of the vehicle

Payment
At the end of the auction: The winner is automatically charged a service fee of 3% of the final price (minimum €179 incl. VAT) by credit card.
Within 10 days: The winner must pay the sales price by bank transfer. The payment is secured by our partner Paycar.
Delivery
Unless otherwise specified, the buyer is responsible for picking up the vehicle from the seller. Benzin is able to offer an optional delivery service, nous contacter (specify the vehicle you are interested in and your location).
No Surprises Guarantee
