This 1979 Mercedes 450SL of American origin has 52,000 miles (about 83,500 km). The seller indicates that the car is in good general condition and that the Technical Inspection will be done for the sale.
On the outside the car is in good condition. The original paint in its rare blue color shows only a few rare defects visible in the gallery. A thin hand painted blue border is present on the sides of the car. The exterior plastics and gaskets are in good condition even if the window gaskets on the side are missing. The front and rear lights are in good condition. The seller states that the car is all original on the outside. The hood is in good condition and the car will be sold with its hard top.
The interior is in very good condition and completely original. The blue leather upholstery has no tears or holes. The steering wheel and the dashboard are well preserved. The on-board instrumentation as well as the electrical equipment work normally except for the electric window on the passenger side which can be capricious.
The 4.5 liter V8 developed 190 hp (US version) when it left the factory. The seller indicates that the mechanics work normally as well as the 3-speed automatic transmission. The engine is original.
The car has its 4 original rims in good condition with half worn tires. The car brakes correctly but the seller specifies that a geometry is necessary in order for the car to run perfectly.
The seller is a private individual located in France in Beauchamp (95) and accepts visits during the sale. The vehicle currently has American papers but the seller has the FFVE file to register it in France. The seller can also accompany the buyer in all the administrative steps.

How the auctions work
A credit card is required to bid, although nothing is charged at the time. Bids are immediately raised to the amount entered.
The highest bid is automatically selected. However, in case the reserve price is not reached, the seller has 48 hours to select a bid among the bidders.
Bidding is binding. We do not accept any withdrawal of bidding. Any withdrawal is sanctioned by a fee of 6% of the amount bid with a minimum of 300€ TTC.
Visits of the vehicle

Payment
At the end of the auction: The winner is automatically charged a service fee of 3% of the final price (minimum 150€ VAT included).
Within 15 days: The winner must pay the sale price by bank transfer. The payment is secured by our partner Paycar.
Delivery
Unless otherwise specified, the buyer is responsible for picking up the vehicle from the seller. Benzin is able to offer an optional delivery service, nous contacter (specify the vehicle you are interested in and your location).
