The Ferrari 348 TB "Challenge" was based on TB or TS versions for the first customer "challenge" competitions (American or European). In the case of the European 348 Challenge, the vehicles taking part were all tb/ts versions (registered for the road), on which owners had to purchase a Kit sold by Ferrari. This Kit was available at the end of September 1992, and sold by Ferrari. The kit consisted of :
