This 1969 Mercedes 280SL "Pagoda" has 53,000 km. The seller indicates that the car is in good general condition, that it has a valid Technical Control and that it has benefited from recent expenses. This Pagoda has been in the same family for 25 years, it belonged to the seller's father-in-law. An expertise report is available in the gallery. The car has benefited from numerous expenses in the last 6 years (see invoices).
On the outside the car is in good condition. The paint in its white color has some visible defects in the gallery. There are a few dents, a deformation of the driver's side door panel and the beginning of corrosion on the trunk floor. The exterior plastics and gaskets are in good condition, as well as the headlights. The seller indicates that the chassis of this Pagoda is sound. The body was restored in 1996 (sandblasting / sheet metal treatment / painting and control of the body on marble). A lot of rods are new. The seller indicates that the hood is currently under repair, it will be new for the sale. The hood cover is missing. He also specifies that the car is fully original on the outside. The hard top is present.
The interior is in good condition. The leather upholstery has no tears or holes but shows signs of wear and tear. The electrical equipment works normally except for the lap counter. The carpets are new.
The 2.8-liter 6-cylinder fuel injection engine developed 170 hp when it left the factory. The seller indicates that the mechanics work normally as well as the 4 speed manual transmission. The seller recommends an adjustment of the injection so that the engine runs perfectly. The original engine (type M130.983; 170hp) has been replaced by a 280 SE/SEL engine (type M130.980; 160hp). This type of replacement was common at the time for cost reasons.
The car has its 4 original rims in good condition with tires to replace. The car brakes normally. The ball joints of the front axle are new.
The seller is a private individual located in France in Bruay-la-Buissière (62700) and accepts visits during the sale. The car will be sold with its French registration (normal), a favorable CT of less than 6 months, some invoices, its restoration file and an expertise report.

How the auctions work
A credit card is required to bid, although nothing is charged at the time. Bids are immediately raised to the amount entered.
The highest bid is automatically selected. However, all the offers made remain valid for 2 working days and can be accepted at any time during this period.
Bidding is binding. We do not accept any withdrawal of bids. Any retraction is sanctioned by a fee of 6% of the amount bid, including VAT. with a minimum of 329€ TTC.

Payment
At the end of the auction: The winner is automatically charged a service fee of 3% of the final price (minimum €179 incl. VAT) by credit card.
Within 7 days: The winner must pay the sales price by bank transfer. The payment is secured by our partner Paycar.
Delivery
Unless otherwise specified, the buyer is responsible for picking up the vehicle from the seller. Benzin is able to offer an optional delivery service, nous contacter (specify the vehicle you are interested in and your location).
No Surprises Guarantee
