This 1983 Mercedes 280SE is a second hand car of French origin, bought new in Paris and kept for 30 years by its second owner. The car has 296.000 km, a mileage justified by a large file of invoices, many of them from the Mercedes network. The car has a normal French registration and a valid technical control.

On the outside, this Mercedes 280 SE is in very good condition. The original paint shows well but shows some visible flaws in the gallery. The bodywork is in good condition, showing no major deformation. The seller indicates that there is no corrosion except on the right rear wing and the left rear door sill (see gallery). The headlights and windows are in very good condition, as well as the chrome.

The interior is in very good condition. The blue velvet upholstery is in very good condition, only the driver's seat shows a slight cut and some wear marks. The carpets and interior trim, especially the woodwork, are in very good condition. The controls are in very good condition, showing no marked patina. The seller states that the on-board equipment is working properly, including the air conditioning. However, he says that the tachometer stopped working recently, while the rest of the instrumentation works. This 280SE has cruise control (tempomat), power windows and a vintage cassette radio. The mechanics are said to be in very good condition. The 2.8l inline 6 cylinder engine developed 185hp when it left the factory. The engine has recently been serviced including an oil change, filter change, fuel pressure regulator replacement and various sensors and hoses. The hood insulator is new. The seller states that the engine runs perfectly. The 4 speed automatic transmission is said to work perfectly, without jerks.

The car has its 4 original rims with old tires. The car is said to run and brake perfectly, without making any abnormal noise.

The seller is a private individual located in France in Cahors (46000) and accepts visits during the sale. The car is accompanied by various papers and instructions, including the radio, as well as the original Mercedes booklets in their original pocket.

The car is sold without reserve price.

How the auctions work

A credit card is required to bid, although nothing is charged at the time. Bids are immediately raised to the amount entered.

The highest bid is automatically selected. However, all the offers made remain valid for 10 days and can be accepted at any time during this period.

Bidding is binding. We do not accept any withdrawal of bids. Any retraction is sanctioned by a fee of 6% of the amount bid, including VAT. with a minimum of 329€ TTC.

Payment

At the end of the auction: The winner is automatically charged a service fee of 3% of the final price (minimum €179 incl. VAT) by credit card.

Within 7 days: The winner must pay the sales price by bank transfer. The payment is secured by our partner Paycar.

Delivery
