This Mercedes 190sl of July 30, 1962 of French origin is a 4th hand car with 70.000 km. The seller indicates that the car is in excellent general condition, that it has a valid Technical Control and that it has benefited from a recent interior and engine renovation.
On the outside the car is in excellent condition. The paint in its blue color has no defects. The seller indicates that the vehicle has benefited 15 years ago from a paint veil. The exterior plastics and seals are in excellent condition, as are the front and rear lights. The front lights are new (Cibié brand). The front bumper has been rechromed and a new soft top has been installed. The seller indicates that this Mercedes is rust free. He also specifies that the car is entirely original.
The interior is in excellent condition and has recently been refinished by a specialist. The beige leather upholstery has no tears or holes. The steering wheel and dashboard are in excellent condition and show no visible patina. The carpet is also in excellent condition. The on-board instrumentation and the electrical equipment are working normally. This 190sl has its original car radio and a watch on the glove box.
The 1.9-liter 4-cylinder developed 105 hp when it left the factory. The seller indicates that the mechanics work perfectly. Recently, the original engine has been completely rebuilt.
The block was re-bored at the first rib and new pistons of Mercedes origin were installed. The crankshaft was rectified and balanced. The cylinder head was rectified as well as the valve seats; new guides were installed. The timing chain and the exhaust silencer were changed.
An electronic ignition and new spark plugs were installed.
The whole cooling and heating system has been renovated (new hoses, pipes, radiators and thermostat). A new fuel pump was also installed.
The starter and the dynamo have also been renovated.
The 4 speed manual gearbox works perfectly. It has been overhauled, all its seals have been changed and a new clutch has been installed. The gearshift linkage has also been renovated.
The whole engine is in conformity with the origin except for the carburetors. The original ones have been replaced by 2 new Weber 40 DCOE double body carburetors (Kit).
The car has its 4 original rims in excellent condition with new Michelin tires (6.40 SR 13). The car brakes normally. The original brake servo has been refurbished by a specialized company (Etient company)
The seller is a private individual located in France in Tours (37) and accepts visits during the sale. The car is sold with a valid technical control, a normal Carte Grise, numerous maintenance invoices and a Mercedes Datacar card.

How the auctions work
A credit card is required to bid, although nothing is charged at the time. Bids are immediately raised to the amount entered.
The highest bid is automatically selected. However, in case the reserve price is not reached, the seller has 48 hours to select a bid among the bidders.
Bidding is binding. We do not accept any withdrawal of bidding. Any withdrawal is sanctioned by a fee of 6% of the amount bid with a minimum of 300€ TTC.

Payment
At the end of the auction: The winner is automatically charged a service fee of 3% of the final price (minimum 179€ TTC and maximum 3.000€ TTC).
Within 15 days: The winner must pay the sale price by bank transfer. The payment is secured by our partner Paycar.
Delivery
Unless otherwise specified, the buyer is responsible for picking up the vehicle from the seller. Benzin is able to offer an optional delivery service, nous contacter (specify the vehicle you are interested in and your location).
