This 1969 Giannini 124 GT Vignale is one of 200 prepared by the Italian company Giannini Automobili on a Fiat 124S base and named "Eveline" series. This car was originally destined for the American market, but was sold new in Portugal before going to a Swiss enthusiast and then to the current owner, a collector of rare Italian cars. It has 54,600 km, a mileage estimated fairly by the seller although it cannot be verified. This particular model was used on the cover of Giannini's advertising brochures at the time (these documents are provided with the car). The current owner indicates that there would be 3 of them in France, and is parting with this model in his possession for 4 years because he has another Giannini in the process of restoration.

The white paint presents beautifully. Only a few minor paint corrections have been applied and a small spot of surface rust on the driver's side rear fender is visible (see video). Fully restored in 2009, the body is free of corrosion. The chrome is in excellent condition. Aesthetically, this car stands out from the other Giannini Evelines by its factory fitted black vinyl roof.

Inside, the black upholstery presents beautifully. The seller indicates that it would be the original interior, with the exception of the car radio which is period but not original. The seats are flawless, and so is the dashboard with Veglia meters, as well as the wooden steering wheel. This Eveline is originally equipped with functional electric windows, as well as all the equipment and instruments on board.

Mechanically, this Eveline has a unique and original feature: its engine, a 1438cc single shaft (Fiat 124S sedan origin) instead of the 1200cc usually mounted on these Gianninis. It developed 80hp when it left the factory and an oil change was done less than 6 months ago. The idle is stable and the revs are frank. The 4 speed manual transmission works perfectly and locks up well in all gears.

On the ground, this Eveline has its 4 original sheet metal rims as well as its 4 original Giannini hubcaps (not mounted on the pictures, but visible in the gallery). Although in good condition, the seller would recommend a re-chroming of the latter for a perfect condition. The tires are in good condition, and the brake pads and hoses have been replaced.

The car is located in France in Lamorlaye (60) and is registered in collection. The seller accepts visits during the period of the sale and wished to define a reserve price.
