This 1988 Mini Jet Black was acquired by the current seller about 2 years ago for collection purposes but has not been used. Original and in Dutch papers, the seller indicates that he has the necessary for a new registration. This Mini has 98.000 km on the odometer although this mileage cannot be verified.

Externally, this Mini is in very nice condition. The black paint was recently redone by the previous owner, explaining the absence of the red border on the doors and rear fenders typical of the Jet Black series. The logos have been reinstalled. The part under the right headlight shows a slightly less shiny paint but no rust. A paint crack is visible on the right rear fender, while a scratch is present on the roof.

Inside, everything is in conformity with the original. The black velvet seats with red piping are in very good condition with no holes or tears. The door panels are also in excellent condition. The vinyl upholstery shows some dings on the center console. The paint on the surround of the ventilation control is damaged. The equipment and the on-board instrumentation are said to function normally.

Mechanically, this Mini Jet Black works perfectly. The 998cc 4 cylinder engine developed 42hp when it left the factory. This one starts well when hot and cold and holds its idle well. The 4 speed transmission is said to work perfectly. The seller indicates that an oil change will be done for the sale.

The car is equipped with non-original Minilight rims in good condition. The seller indicates that the rear drums are slightly seized but that this detail will be resolved for the sale. Otherwise, this Mini is said to run perfectly without any play or abnormal noise.

The seller is a private individual located in Mouscron in Belgium (30km from Lille) and accepts visits during the sale. The seller wished to define a reserve price.
