The Audi S6 C4 is a very attractive model.
I am writing this as an owner of an Audi S6 C4 for over 20 years, currently an Audi S6 Plus.
It's definitely underrated by the market, which is why their prices are still attractive.
I highly recommend the 4.2-liter versions, both with automatic and manual transmissions.
The engine requires good oil; Mobil 1 5w50 is my favorite, but it's worth flushing it with Liquy Moly before adding it. The only manual transmission oil that works well is Ravenol 75w90.
The ignition coils need to be well-maintained; NGKs work best.
The comfortable driving experience of a Quattro car without the additional unnecessary electronics found in newer models makes for a truly enjoyable driving experience. Of course, it requires the ability to control the drive by throttle and torque.
