This 1987 Golf mk2 GTI 8S "small check" was purchased in October 2017 by its current owner and is currently a 3rd hand. The odometer reads 115,000km, mileage that the seller estimates to be fair.

The bodywork looks good with a new paint job in the original Tornado Red color although some drips are visible in places. The car does not show any dents except for a few on the hood and the lower rear apron. The alignments are satisfactory. According to the seller, there is nothing to suggest that the car has been subjected to shocks. There are no signs of rust. The door and window seals are in average condition.

Inside, the seats as well as the fabric panels are in good condition although some stains are visible. The seller is providing with the sale a dashboard in good condition to replace the cracked one that currently equips the car. The car has a car radio that is not original. The radio antenna is broken but a new one will be provided. The windows are electric but two mechanisms (driver and right rear) have been replaced by cranks. The seller indicates that the coolant temperature indicator does not work.

Mechanically, the seller indicates that this GTI runs well. The car has its original engine, developing 112hp when it left the factory. A video of the car running is available in the gallery. The head and the ignition rotor have been replaced. A slight oil leak is noted at the head cover. The clutch does not show any signs of fatigue. No other history is available on the maintenance of the car.

Concerning the ground connection, this GTI is equipped with the rare Pirelli "9P" wheels. The rims are in a very average condition, with scratches and blisters. One wheel center is missing. The brake pads and discs are slightly worn, while the rear tires are from 2006. The seller specifies that the car has been lowered, but he provides 2 rear shocks and 2 front springs as original.
The seller accepts visits during the sale and is located in Lyon (69).
The seller wished to define a reserve price.
