This 1969 Mercedes 280SE of American origin shows a mileage of 369 km (5 digit counter). The total mileage is unknown. The seller states that the car is in good general condition and has a clean MOT dated 15.03.2022. This Mercedes was imported to Germany in 2004 by its previous owner. It underwent a complete restoration from 2006 to 2009, during which the vehicle was adapted to European specifications, including an odometer. Pictures of the restoration can be seen in the gallery.

Externally, the car is in good condition. The cream and burgundy paintwork has a few visible flaws in the gallery. The two-tone paint was done with original Mercedes colors, reference DB158 for the body and DB542 for the roof. The exterior plastics are in good condition, as well as the headlights. The chrome parts have been renovated. The seller indicates that the window on the passenger side has some leaks. Pictures of the underbody are available in the gallery.

The interior is in good condition, also renovated in 2009. The red leather upholstery shows very slight traces of wear. The steering wheel and the dashboard are in very good condition. The instruments and electrical devices work normally, but the air conditioning is disconnected. This Mercedes has the following equipment:
- Electric windows
- Windshield with sun visor strip
- Electric sunroof
- Air suspension

During the restoration, the 6-cylinder engine with which this 280SE was originally equipped was replaced by the 8-cylinder 3.5 engine of the higher model, which developed 200 hp when it left the factory. This modification has been verified by the German technical control (TüV). The car is officially approved as a collector's car with this transformation, with a "H - Gutachten" . The seller states that the mechanics work normally, as does the 4-speed automatic transmission. The seller has numerous invoices, dating from the last few years. In 2011, the automatic transmission was replaced, then serviced and adjusted in 2020.

The car has its four original rims with old tires. The car brakes normally. Recently, axle bearings have been replaced and the wheels have been balanced.

The seller is a private person in Witten, Germany, and accepts visits during the sale. The car is sold with its German registration, a valid German technical control from 15.03.2022 and invoices.

The seller wanted to set a reserve price.
