The 3 rarest 205 GTI

The 90's, what a beautiful decade don't you think? Anyway, that's when Peugeot unveiled these special editions of 205 GTI: Le Mans, Monte Carlo and Classique Sport. The Benzin team has hunted for you a model of each that will be on sale at the Autopolis show in Tours this weekend (Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 July 2019). par TeamBenzin

The Peugeot 205 GTI Le Mans (access the auction)

Visible at the Autopolis show in Tours on July 13 and 14, 2019

Le Mans

84 examples ordered by Peugeot Sweden with a color that makes the difference. The Miami blue always makes its effect, and still today you will turn heads! Inside, we find a semi leather and fabric upholstery Quartet Red as well as a knob and a wooden steering wheel Luisi. Engine: 1,9l catalyzed, 122hp. This little snapper has a "Hella" inter-lights and also, very important, the remote central locking. We bet you'll be happy to know that you'll be able to close your 205 GTI Le Mans like in the movies in slow motion.

The Peugeot 205 GTI Classic Sport (access the auction)

Visible at the Autopolis show in Tours on July 13 and 14, 2019

Classique Sport

200 examples, once again ordered by Peugeot Sweden. This time, a color that goes everywhere: onyx black. At the same time, they called it Classic, so it had to have a color that went with it. This little sports car reveals its chic side inside with black leather upholstery with red stitching as well as the gearshift and the steering wheel in Luisi wood. Its "Classique Sport" logos finish to distinguish it within the big 205 GTI family. Once again: 1,9l catalyzed and 122hp, simple but efficient.

La Peugeot 205 GTI Monte Carlo (access the auction)

Visible at the Autopolis show in Tours on July 13 and 14, 2019

Monte Carlo

Another Swedish exclusivity that makes it a small sporty rarity. A rather original color that will blend perfectly with the pretty colors of an autumn decor or with the sunny landscape of Monaco. We know, the two moods have nothing to do with each other. The Sorento green with the tricolor border will catch the eye. A leather and fabric upholstery Quartet green and black as well as the gear lever and steering wheel in Luisi wood complete the livery, you begin to know the song. The 1.9l catalyzed engine with its 122hp is still in the game too, easy.

Monte Carlo

What do these Swedish sisters have in common? They all three have headlight washers, sunroof, heated seats and an engine heating system (and yes, it's not that hot in Sweden). Oh, and if you forgot, they're also all on sale on Benzin, with sales ending Sunday, July 14, 2019.

Are these really the rarest 205 GTIs?

If we quibble, there are rarer right-hand drive models such as the GTI 1FM.

But in left-hand drive, these three versions Le Mans, Monte Carlo, and Classique Sport are the rarest in front of the Griffe officially produced to 3000 specimens.
